Disability Health: Benefits Available for People Living with Disabilities in BC
This valuable opportunity offers students the chance to explore the healthcare challenges and barriers experienced by individuals with disabilities, while gaining a deeper understanding of the communication techniques used by healthcare practitioners. The workshop will be led by facilitators who have firsthand experience of living with disabilities, providing important perspectives on the challenges faced by affected individuals. Through storytelling and interactive discussions, students will engage with peers from various fields to expand their knowledge of the unique experiences of people with disabilities and learn about the role of healthcare providers in BC’s disability benefits system.
