Health Mentors: Cohort 13 Recognized at Annual Meeting

The Annual Health Mentors Support Meeting was held on January 22, 2025 at Vancouver General Hospital. The meeting gave current and past health mentors an opportunity to connect with each other to share experiences. Dr. Christie Newton, Associate Vice-President UBC Health, and Kelly Allison, Director of Education, attended the meeting to personally thank mentors for volunteering and present certificates to recognize the valued contribution of our 2023-24 mentors.

“Relationship is at the heart of effective health care. Your unique experiential knowledge cannot be taught by anyone else. We are so very grateful to you all for building relationships with students, sharing your expertise and wisdom and helping to educate a future generation of collaborative and patient-centred health professionals,” said Kelly.

Mentors also shared letters of gratitude they have received from their students and exchanged ideas for the upcoming Health Mentors Symposium.
