Annual Report: Patient & Community Partnership for Education (PCPE)
PCPE’s annual report is now available. The report highlights PCPE’s work over the past academic year (July 2020 – June 2021) and includes summary reports for each of our on-going programs.
Despite the pandemic, we continued to fill requests, develop new resources and maintain programs that enable students to learn from the diverse perspectives and experiences of patients and communities. During the 2020-21 academic year over 150 patient and community partners were involved in 850+ hours of teaching and learning for over 2,000 students.
We were fortunate to be able to continue most of our programs with technology and we are grateful that many of our patient and community partners are willing and able to engage with students in the online world. Thank you for working with us to adapt the way we come together to learn during these challenging times.
This work would not be possible without the many patient and community partners who believe, as we do, that education makes a difference. We are grateful for the time and expertise they give to shaping the hearts and minds of the next generation of health professionals.
