Health Mentors: Cohort 13 Recruitment

Aug 15

Do you have a chronic condition or disability or care for someone who does?

The UBC Health Mentors Program needs volunteers to share their expertise with healthcare students. The program is a 9-month commitment in which adult mentors/caregivers meet 6 times over the year with a small team of UBC students.

Health Mentors are experts who want to share their experiences living with a chronic condition. Students are new healthcare professionals who are learning about patient-centered care and how providers can better support people with chronic conditions.

Health Mentors should be comfortable talking about their health condition. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and student placements around the province, meetings may be held online or by telephone, as well as face to face.

Please apply by August 20th, 2023.
