Save the Date: 3rd International Conference Where’s the Patient’s Voice in Health Professional Education? Nov 12-15, 2025

It’s been 20 years since the 1st conference in 2005 started an international and interdisciplinary movement to embed the patient’s voice in health professional education and 10 years since The Vancouver Statement was created at the 2nd conference in 2015. Join us in Vancouver, November 12-15, 2025 to see the progress that’s been made and help set the course for the next 10 years!

The conference is about practice, innovation and theory that embeds the patient/client voice in health and social care education. It is an opportunity to share examples of how health and social care education can be enriched by patient involvement. Over three days, participants will present examples of collaborations between educators and patient/community groups that bring the authentic and autonomous voices and lived experiences of patients into the education of current and future health and social care professionals.

A limited number of patient bursaries will be available. The call for abstracts is coming January 2025! Stay tuned!
