Unmet Health Care Needs: The Impacts of Poorly Understood Complex Chronic Conditions

Oct 16 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Join us for an online workshop where students from various health programs will explore three often misunderstood chronic illnesses: myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME), fibromyalgia (FM), and Lyme disease.

You'll hear real-life stories about how these conditions affect daily life, identity, finances, and access to care. Learn about the challenges patients face—especially being believed—and discover resources and approaches that can support individuals and families living with these complex, chronic illnesses.

Partners: ME Victoria Association, MEFM Society of BC, MEFM Action Network, BC Lyme Society.

To register for the October 16, 2025 workshop, please select “Addressing Unmet Health Care Needs: A look into the impacts and challenges of daily life for people with poorly understood Complex Chronic Conditions.”
